What is screen printing?

Screen printing, also known as silk screening, is the most popular way to print custom t-shirts.

We create one screen per ink color, set up the screens on one of our precision presses, and print your design in quantities of 24 to 24,000 and beyond.

Screen printing isn’t just for T-shirt printing – it works well on hoodies, polo shirts, tote bags, and more!

How does screen printing work?

First, we prepare a separate screen (a bit like a large stencil created on a mesh) for each color in your design.

Next, we install these screens on a machine and carefully align them so that the colors register perfectly (so all the parts of your design line up).

We prepare the ink for your design.

Then we load a shirt onto the pallet and it moves under the first screen to be printed with the first color.

What Happens Next

& How Much Does It Cost?

Screen printing is a mass-production process, so to determine if your project is cost-effective for screen printing we recommend following this rule of thumb:

  • 1-color artwork: order at least 24 items.

  • 2-color artwork: order at least 36 items.

  • 3-color artwork: order at least 48 items.

  • Many color artwork: contact us to discuss, but it may be that our Direct-to-Garment (DTG) print services may be a better option for you.

1. What types of printing services do you offer?

We specialize in screen printing, direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, embroidery, laser engraving, sublimation, patches, and custom promotional products.

What is your return and exchange policy?

Because all of our products are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item is defective or there was an error on our part. We always provide a proof before production, so please review it carefully. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, contact us within 5 business days and we’ll make it right.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Yes. For embroidered hats, the minimum order is 12 pieces. Other services may vary — feel free to contact us with your project details.

What is your typical turnaround time?

Turnaround is generally 2 weeks for embroidery and 2–3 weeks for screen printing. Specialty items may take longer depending on the order size and design complexity. Other factors may effect turnaround times as well, such as holidays and busy seasons.

Can I see a proof before production?

Absolutely! We provide digital proofs for your approval before any printing begins. Please double-check for spelling and design accuracy, as we are not liable for approved errors.
